Aromatherapy Treatments for Stretch Marks

Aromatherapy Anti-Stretch Marks Recipes

To prevent the possibility of a skin reaction from over-use of a particular essential oil (especially if used throughout pregnancy), use the following recipes in rotation. Apply the Recipe-1 for a month, the essential oil-free Recipe-2 for the next month, then the Recipe-3 for a third month, resuming with the original formula, and so on.

Recipe -1

30ml macerated calendula oil 20ml jojoba oil
6 drops mandarin essential oil
3 drops neroli essential oil
3 drops lavender essential oil

Put the calendula and jojoba oils into a dark glass bottle, add the essential oils and shake well.

Recipe -2

30g cocoa butter
20ml sweet almond oil

Melt the cocoa butter in a heatproof bowl placed over a pan of simmering water. Stir in the sweet almond oil. Remove from the heat and pour into a small jar. The mixture will harden slightly but melts on contact with the skin.

Recipe -3

25ml rosehip seed oil
25ml sweet almond oil
Contents of 2 vitamin E capsules
6 drops rose or 5 drops geranium essential oil
3 drops lavender essential oil

Put the rosehip seed and sweet almond oils into a dark glass bottle. Pierce the vitamin E capsules with a pin, then squeeze the contents into the mixture. Add the essential oils and shake well.
