Aromatherapy Concentrate for Promoting Menstruation

15 drops Virginian cedarwood essential oil
6 drops coriander essential oil
10 drops clary sage essential oil
12 drops rose otto essential oil

Put the essential oils into a dark glass bottle and shake well. For the following applications, dispense the con­centrate using a pipette or eye dropper (available from pharmacies).

How to use this Concentrate?

Bath: Add six drops of the concentrate to your daily bath. Or, take the bath at least three times a week in coniunction with massage and dry inhalations.

Massage: 25ml sweet almond oil, 10 drops of the concentrate. Massage a little of the oil into your abdomen immediately after your daily bath or shower.

Dry Inhalation: Put a few drops of the concentrate on a tissue and inhale at intervals through­ out the day: This supportive treatment should be used in combination with aromatic baths and massage oil.

Aromatic Salt Bath for Muscular Strain

Once the swelling has subsided (after treatment with cold compresses), aromatic salt baths will relax taut muscles and facilitate healing of damaged tissue.

200g Dead Sea Mineral Salts
5 drops rosemary essential oil
2 drops geranium essential oil
1 drop ginger essential oil

Add the Dead Sea salts to the bath while the water is still running. After the bath has been filled, add the essential oils and swish around to disperse. Take this aromatic salt bath once a day for about a week.

Aromatherapy Recipes for Influenza

10 drops rosemary essential oil
10 drops coriander essential oil
10 drops sweet marjoram essential oil 10 drops mandarin essential oil
10 drops eucalyptus essential oil
(or use myrtle for children under 10)

Put the essential oils into a dark glass bottle and shake well.

Add four drops of the concentrate to a bowl of almost boiling water, two drops for children over five years. Cover your head and the bowl with a towel to form a tent and inhale the aromatic vapour for five minutes. Carry out the treatment two to three times daily.

Avoid steam inhalations if you have asthma.
